Half Day Play Preschool

Half Day Play Preschool was established in 1967
by members of the Colonial Park United Church of Christ.

The mission of Half Day Play Preschool is to provide an away from home experience promotion group relatedness, parent involvment, creativity, and independence via a learning and play approach. 

HDP offers half day classes two or three days per week for
ages 3-5.   Children must be 3 years old by September 1 of the school year for which they are enrolling and must be toilet trained.  Class size is generally limited to no more than 13 children and supervised by one teacher and one parent helper. By using parent helpers, HDP is able to keep the cost of preschool affordable.  In certain instances, scholarships are also made available on a case by case basis.
 

Classes generally begin immediately after Labor Day and end just before Memorial Day!

In addition to learning time and social time the children also take many special field trips.  Some of the places they visit are the Post Office, Cocoa Castle, and Hersheypark Zoo. 
Also because of our close proxcimity to Brightbill Park the students also hike over to the park at least once per year. 

For the 2009-2010 School year
3 year olds are eligible for two day a week classes
4 & 5year olds are eligible for two or three day a week classes

Monthly Tuition
Two classes per week          $45.00 per month
Three classes per week        $60.00 per month
