Our Worship

We are a diverse community worshiping a God that is always full of surprises. We celebrate our freedom in Christ by offering many styles of worship at CPUCC, from our regular Sunday worship settings to the many worshipful moments we experience as we live our faith into the world.

Summer Worship (May 28-Sept. 10) – 9:30am – No Sunday School during the Summer.

Our Sunday worship begins with our traditional 8:15 AM service in the Sanctuary. Here you’ll see robed pastors, hear traditional hymns, experience a traditional liturgy.

At 10:45 AM, worship is a unique blend of traditional worship, diverse musical styles, and relevant preaching.  It’s a little more spontaneous, a little more loose.

Both Sunday worship services celebrate the Lord’s Supper approximately once a month, often on the first Sunday.  Communion open to all.

Following each Sunday Worship Service we invite you to gather in the Fellowship Hall for coffee & fellowship.

New, September 10, 2017, is The Charging Station Worship Service on Sunday evenings at 5:00pm.   Different then our traditional Sunday morning worship, this service will be geared toward those who like a more informal worship setting and prefer more “contemporary” music styles.   Why the name “The Charging Station”?  Because church is—in a very real sense—a spiritual station in which we come and are “recharged” for the week.  In worship we encounter Christ’s community, hear His Word, and are reminded of our place and role in His mission.  CPUCC exists to Listen, to Love, and to Restore Hope and Community to all God’s Children.  This new worship service will help us to further fulfill our vision by making worship welcoming and accessible to more people in our community.  Please pray for this new endeavor, and consider ways in which you might be called to assist or support this new ministry.  For more details, please contact Pastor Scott (717-545-3782).

On the 4th Wednesday of every month we celebrate Taize worship in our chapel. This is a meditative sung-prayer practice enjoyed by ecumenical Christians around the world.  (Taize does not meet during Lent as we participate in worship Ecumenically at varying churches in the Linglestown/Colonial Park area).

Please know that our schedule is subject to change, especially for holiday weekends and on special occasions for the congregation. Always check with this site or contact the church office for the coming weekend.

And please, join us to celebrate the joy of salvation in Christ!

The congregation worships.
