The Little Voice in the Backseat 9/17/17

We invite you to be with us this Sunday, September 17, 2017 when we will return to our two morning Worship Services at 8:15 & 10:45am.  Barrett Rhoads will be with us to preach on the theme “The Little Voice in the Backseat” based on the scripture texts from Romans 14:1-12 and Matthew 18:21-35.  Barrett will also present the Children’s Moment at both services.  Roy Blose will be the Liturgist at the early service and Liz August at the late service.  The Sanctuary Choir is presenting “Nothin’ Gonna Stumble” at the 10:45am service.

We are getting closer to having an Interim Pastor!  But while we wait – pulpit supply is being handled by Cindy Gnech, Deacon for Worship & the Arts.  The next few Sundays the pulpit will be filled by Jessica Nupponen (Sept. 24), Thaddeus Sampson (Oct. 1), Cindy Gnech (Oct. 8), Rev. Roben Roof (Oct. 15), Pastor Scott Siciliano (Oct. 22) and the Rev. Claude Dencler (Oct. 29).

Join us for worship THIS SUNDAY, September 17, 2017  at 5PM, when we will discuss the message of Romans 14:1-12. Paul, a pharisee who once persecuted Christians, is speaking to the Christians in Rome about the need to be accepting, non-judgmental, and agreeable with one another.

Churches can be famous places for conflict. How can we, as a Christian community, break the mold and be different- extending hospitality and compassion to those who seek it?
